Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the principal to create innovative and functional design solutions for a variety of residential and possibly commercial projects. You will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing drawings and presentations, and ensuring that projects meet the client’s needs and preferences.

Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization & Schematic Design: Collaborate with principals to develop and present design concepts through space plans, sketches, and mood boards, while incorporating current trends, color schemes, and innovative materials.
- Design Development: Transform concepts into detailed plans and 3D models, prepare drawings and presentation materials, support material and FF&E selection, and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Develop renderings for client approval.
- Construction Documentation: Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensure compliance with codes and regulations, coordinate with contractors and engineers, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- Project Coordination and client relationship management: Manage timelines, procurement, and installations while coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors; conduct site visits to oversee progress and resolve issues.
- Client Interaction: Present design concepts, provide recommendations aligned with client goals and budgets, and refine designs based on feedback.
- Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the design team including project design lead/principal and other consultants on projects; mentor junior designers and interns. Communicate effectively and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in interior design or architectural documentation (residential focus required).
- Proficient in Revit – required (non-negotiable).
- Proficient in at least one rendering software (Lumion preferred; others acceptable).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam (advantageous but not required).
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) for project tracking and documentation.
- Strong understanding of design detailing, construction documentation, and material selection.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; capable of working independently in a remote setup.
Nice to Have
- Experience with U.S.-based residential design projects.
- Familiarity with Seattle/Washington building codes or IBC.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles.
