The Data Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient internal operation of SEALAB’s transportation and logistics activities. Responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of shipping data via Cargowise Software. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Tasks:

  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of shipping data by daily checking and verifying information over multiple platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping data in Cargowise software.
  • Autorating of customer buy and sell in Cargowise system.
  • Support Shipment Manager in tasks and if away support workload.
  • Update the payables in the Cargowise system and ensure accurate across autorating
  • Produce the customer invoice and send to customers and ensure accurate across autorating.
  • Ensure SEALAB+ Digital Freight Portals are updated and all data is accurate.
  • Facilitate and execute any system integration data requirements.
  • Facilitate and execute any customer reporting requirements.
  • Enter and process new shipment bookings in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Processing of all required shipping documents via Cargowise and Shipping Lines Websites (ie SLI)
  • Analyse shipping line spot data and provide daily analysis email to Operations/Commercial Managers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure shipping data is being effectively utilized.
  • Stay current with updates and changes to Cargowise software.
  • Assist with other operational tasks as required.
  • Weekly meetings with management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with specialized skills in USA Imports/Exports
  • Proven experience working with CargoWise.
  • Experience working in shipping and booking modules of Cargowise.
  • Experience working with Cargowise reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Slack.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Be positive, proactive and have an outside of the box, solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use initiative and apply practical skills to tasks as planned and also very importantly if tasks do not go to plan.
